We recently got a sneak peak of th 2022 Hummer EV’s range and now we have the official numbers along with towing and payload capacity’s. The 2022 Hummer EV Edition 1 range has an EPA estimated 329 miles of range.

That beats out the 2022 Ford Lightning and the Rivian R1T but you have to look at cost. The First Edition Hummer EV, which is the only Hummer EV available at launch, starts at a whopping $112,595. You could buy two Ford Lightning Pros’ (which starts at about $40,000) and still have $22k in your pocket. Also note that you can buy a Lightning Pro right at launch. The Hummer EV better have better range then. But only 29 miles of range for $70k more? Definitely not worth it. More trim levels will come into play after the 1st Edition leaves the showroom. Starting with the cheapest EV2. The EV2 has a starting price of $79,995 and will be available in Spring 2024. Next up is the EV2X, which starts at $89,995 and will be available in Spring 2023. The future top dog Hummer EV will be the and the EV3X. It starts at $99,995 and will be available inFall 2022. Yeesh!! Those are expensive vehicles!

As mentioned above, payload and towing capacity’s were released. Payload sits at 1,300 LB. and towing capacity sits at 7,500 LB.. For comparison the 2022 Ford F-150 Ligtning has a towing capacity 10,000 LB. and a payload capacity 2,000 LB..
